Which is replacing his old 1994 Legacy GT EJ20H

So Rob (known over on XT6 as xtwhakatane and on LegacyCentral as fellarangi) will now be joining us on our next track day in his new 1999 Impreza WRX.

Its an authentic STI model with all the goodies and the red-top EJ20 motor. Only down side is his insurance premium has now gone through the roof.

That STi is HOT, your Legacy is still hotter!

love the old gen STi. Great car

Wish Subaru sent them to us when they made em.

One of my fav's, that the kind of car people like myself dream about.

Cheers man  Thats the kind of praise that makes my day  Especially when i couldve got one of these for the same $ as my car.

Guess i shouldve added my .02 - WRX = Plastic door trims, plastic dash, cardboard seats and body panels made of metal so thin you can read through it. But OH the SPEEEED!!!

Give me my torquey padded leather legacy any day. But to each their own.

Edit: Speaking of speed i saw a EZ30 Bi-Turbo Legacy putting out 700hp today. Sure it was a drag car but still inspiring.

Rather stupid question, do they make your guy's Legacies and ship them to New Zealand from Japan or are they sent from America?

The New Zealand market soobs are built in Japan and shipped over. But the majority of the cars we get are ex JDM cars sold in Japan then exported after a year or so of use. So everything we get is covered in funny picture writing and sucks. Oh and we get nasty speed limiters at round about 205kph

That car is so sick.

Just noticed the rear wiper

LOL! 205km/h XD Dude I want to move the NZ

Beautiful Roos.

I was really puzzled by the Turbo Legacy and the agressive Impreza until I realized that you're from across the really big pond. You're rubbing it in to us Yanks knowing that we didn't get any of the good stuff until 2001/2002.

Well, at least we don't have any WRX police cars over here so I still have a chance to pull off the old WRX smash and grab:lol:

Thats 205kmh limiters on the cars.....which is a shame because theyre capable of 250kmh without pulling a muscle.

Theres the usual 100kmh speed limits on the roads however.

And its coming to something when your impressed with a rear window wiper!

I don't know why more American spec cars don't use them since there is such a wide range of weather here in the states. There are many times when I wish my Legacy would have came with one.
