I have polished with Plasticx, sanded with 1000 grit, and polished again. It works for a while then comes back. Im sure somebody has a better way.

what kind of car? year? trim? are you dealing with?

You are then suppost to put on a clear coat of some sort I believe.

UV resistant clear coat to be exact. 90-94 ere leg?

Good ole wax works also. I use 1500 grit LOTS of water (running hose while sanding) and car wax after drying.

Yeah...you need to put a protective coating over the headlight lense. That keeps the air out, and lense from oxidizing.

I just got a set of headlights from the Junkyard that look to be in near new condition. No yellowing at all.

 

Would it be a wise decision to clearcoat them before installing them to help prevent yellowing in the future?

 

And will any ole clearcoat work? I got some spray on stuff I used for modeling.

i've done this several times and everytime i used clear coat and its never gone back yellow
