March 24, 200818 yr Why are you asking? Are you looking or something specific? Now you have me curious as I have a 96 and 99 outback. I also have a 97 donor car.
March 24, 200818 yr Author well, I was at a shop where one was being worked on (but unsure of the year), and it had the 2.5" lift blocks, and the 2.5" lift block is what the AA 4" lifts say they replace. mine has what looks to be about 1.25" blocks welded to the crossmembers.... as I was thinking about lifting my 97 Outback, the thought of just replacing a 2.5" with a 4" block didn't seem like much of a gain to me, but now, just adding a 4" lift is a different story.....

March 26, 200818 yr Then that will work. Make sure the inside diameter is very close to the diameter of the cradle bolts. Whis way the spacers wont shift. nipper
March 26, 200818 yr Make sure to cross-brace the spacers to each other. If you don't, it rips the captured nuts out of the body pretty quick under abuse. Outbacks also have different rear control arm bushing mounts in the front, the mount is stepped down a ways, and different trailing arm link mounts in the rear.
