May 6, 200817 yr i forgot to mention that it shift real well and drives like a champion. just a little worried about the click. i am off to cinco de mayo on the water front! thanks guys! i'll bet it clicks when you push in the button on the shifter just before you shif. this is standard.
May 7, 200817 yr no it is an actual clunk/click from the front end. I believe a worn C.V. joint or transmission mount can produce your symptoms.
May 8, 200817 yr i know you say the front end is were you hear the noise.....but you can also get a clunk from bad u joints when you change gears in an automatic........my father had it very bad on his c3 corvette.....
May 8, 200817 yr That can be u joints, CV joints, Tranny mount, Ball joints or various other front end parts. Time to inspect the car. BTW your tranny is fine. nipper
