Automatic tranny. clicking noise when shifting from Park into DRIVE/REVERSE. is this a symptom of a dying transmission? ( i sure hope not) please help me with this problem, i just want to be ahead of the game if it is going to need a major repair. thank you! EVOthis Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 i know you say the front end is were you hear the noise.....but you can also get a clunk from bad u joints when you change gears in an automatic........my father had it very bad on his c3 corvette.....
