What is a good amount of paint to figure to have on hand for my dad and I to repaint my Brat?

 

2 Quarts? 3?

Depends on color, prep, type of paint. I don't really know enough about it to guesstimate. If you use quarts be sure to mix them all together first then seperate out as much as you need to fill the gun. That way you won't end up with the front and back or right and left sides being different shades.

AKIRA, When I had my Brat painted a couple of years ago I went ahead and bought a gal. Two coats of coverage and maybe a quart was left over that could be used for touch ups and such. If you buy three quarts it will cost as much as a gal. in most product lines, more than a gal in others. Glenn Taylor.

I put a gallon and a half on my bug, followed with 2 quarts of clearcoat.

I used 2 quarts on my '88 GL wagon. This was mearly a light coating however. You could easily put a gallon on her if you want a real thick coat.
