July 7, 200817 yr I took a break from clearing some dead trees at my cabin and did some light wheeling up off of Boreas Pass. I didn't do anything too crazy as I was alone, but I had some fun. The car keeps surprising me every time I go off-roading as the only problem I have had is lack of power(1.8 carbed engine and 12000ft don't mix so well). I haven't had any clearance problems yet. Look at that flex! If anyone every wants to go 4 wheeling send me a PM as I am up for it if I am around. I am going to be in the Roaring Fork area for most of the summer but I return to Denver on the weekends often. -Max
July 7, 200817 yr Nice. Man 12,000ft? Around me theres still snow (the kind of cement you can't wheel through) on the trails at 4,000ft. :-\
July 8, 200817 yr Author Thanks Zap! 12000ft? Yeah, there was probably about 8 ft of snow at this spot in March but it melts pretty quick up here. There are still quite a few trails closed that are at about 9000ft because they are in the trees and they have massive drifts on them. There are also a few trails that are probably not going to be passable this year because of all the snow. -Max

I also think i saw you up outside of Rollinsville on east portal road. Was that you? The lights are modded '78 brat lights. -Max
July 30, 200817 yr Yes it was. I didn't see you though, unless you were in another vehicle. I don't think I would've not noticed that hatch.
