door problems

Featured Replies

i've got a problem with my door lock. i accidently got it jammed, so now it won't open.. and the door is not locked to the car, so it just sways as i go, any help?

Pull off the fender, support the door with a jack and pull the hinges off the body. Then remove the door panel and fiddle with the latch mechanism. You can probably get it to come loose if you manually operate the latch.

so you can't close the door because the latch is locked closed?

usually you can just take a screwdriver and force the mechanism on the outside of the door to open up...

but as GD says you may have to pull off the door panel and mess with the internals if something is jammed up in there...
