January 8, 200422 yr OK, there's got to be a way to prevent (or at least slow down) formation of rust on the chrome rings that I attach to my wagon wheels. As much as I've tried to clean them off after the road grime collects, and after waxing every set I've had to buy on an annual basis, I still get rust. Is there anything I can maybe apply to the rings to help keep the salty road grime from eating them? I was thinking the frying pan spray like used in restaurants, am I way off here? I'm wide open for suggestions (although new rings every year look goood:D ).
January 9, 200422 yr Do your wheels rust behind the rings? I hated that even more. I just gave up and got alloy wheels.
January 9, 200422 yr Try powder coating. I've heard there is a silver powder coat that is like a dull chrome. If done properly it's very durable...from what I've read.
January 9, 200422 yr you could try never dull i think its made by eagle-one now.it removes rust and help prevent rust between cleanings
