November 15, 200817 yr The timing may need to be adjusted. It should be 25deg BTDC. Dont forget to connect the green plug under the dash next to the ECU first.
November 15, 200817 yr Author i can fully advance or retard the timming and it still wont go under 1100 rpm with the idle screw all the way in... and now it is leaking coolant from somewhere in the center of the engine compartment.... i hate this car....
November 15, 200817 yr my WAG is the line from the IAC is split or cracked at one end causing a vacuum leak. Have a look at it while you check for the coolant leak. Nobody you know messed with the throttle stop scew - eh?
November 15, 200817 yr Check out your aux air valve for proper functionhttp://www.ch601.org/engines.htm It sits on top of the thermostat housing and functions as the choke. If it is not working properly or the hose to the air duct is bad your " choke " is on all the time. Edited November 15, 200817 yr by subuaroodude
