Sway Bar ?'s

Featured Replies

a few quick questions on removing sway bar on my 88 wagon?

- more flex?

- affect on daily driving?

thanks

Mine is disconnected, more flex, a little squirly in the wind at high speeds, but I am also lifted and my steering rack is going bad  Overall i like it better without the bar

I wouldn't say more flex, just easier flex. The suspension will top and bottom out with it in there but without it the wheel will flex sooner and keep more weight on it. When I took mine out of the Brat I found it helped a little (just noticeable) offroad and I didn't notice it onroad. I believe my rubbers were shot and it wasn't doing much anyhow.

Awsome ya im heading up to walker this week end... well see if i cant see a difference!!!!

Thanks!

It makes a lifted wagon feel a lot more like it's lifted.

Definitely a little squirly, as TheBeast stated, but i wouldn't ever go back. :)

Too much fun.

Took the rear off my Forester, can hardly tell the difference on the road.

Much more articulation off road.

Pitch it.

yep, if it's a lifted rig, you got no business driving it hard anyway.

I disconnected one front link on my first lifted wagon thinking it would be a temporary thing. it never got reconnected. and shortly after that, it was removed entirely.
