0.030 pistons

Featured Replies

anyone know where to get 0.030 pistons for a '89 rx 1.8 turbo

not trying to step on toes, have you considered an EJ swap? less money, more power, more reliable....it's hard to beat that.

as for those pistons RAM certainly has them.

looked for a website couldnt find it do you have it?

You can get them from your subaru dealer as well. I don't think you will need to go .030, all I needed was .010 on my Ea-82t.... they really don't wear that much. Pistons cost me $45.00 each, rings were an additional $180.

I will be another advocate for the EJ swap, you will be much happier with the power and reliability. I have done both and the n/a EJ22 is not far behind my EA82t, but the turbo does take the cake. Turbo the EJ and you will have mucho fun!!!

Not what you're asking about, but:

If you haven't bored it yet, RAM has a set of 0.020 over cast turbo pistons with rings for $180.00. All 4.

Just one set, for that price, I believe.

Edit: Engine Parts House, ebay. ITM Turbo pistons, rings, pins, and locks. About $175.00. for the set of 4. 0.020 over tho. . Just FYI. Haven't used that brand.
