some fun in the snow with the Beast : NOW WITH VIDEO:

Featured Replies

Well, for the first time i finally get to play in the snow with the Beast. For the past 2 years since I lifted it during winter it has always been down for one reason or another, but this year it is up and running like a champ! On friday me and a few friends took it up into the hills above sunnyside and conquered some drifts, then I owned a steep snowy hillclimb that the others pussed out on  Unfortunately there were no pics or video from that evening, but this afternoon me and my friend Trevor went out to the orchards and found the asphalt pads where the bins are normally loaded in the summer. It was a good day, The Beast got its legs stretched and Ive never had so much fun in a Honda  Oh yeah, my buddy drives a '85 Prelude  Anyway, Im waiting for my vids to upload, will add them soon.

I took my Hatch to the hills today (forgot camera)... my tow strap was in my son's Brat so I kept it on the road but nice to see all the snow..

You know i find my subaru doing the same thing. I dont even think its underpowered. Show me someone doing that with a lsd rear end and well see if they cant whip the rump roast around.

Just kiddin man, its was ughhh a nice try.

Is that all the snow you guys got down there?

My rear diff is welded, but we werent on ice, and I only have one CV in the back, so I can only drift goin left.

Normally I can whip it around really good.

Like i said, im having trouble getting it to break loose in ice or snow. Do you find your tires get chewed up with that welded diff.

They do get chewed up a little, but you can always take an axle out. :)

See thats my point, youve got the right rear pushing and the left front pulling. Makes it hard to do any type of drifting and donughts.

Go in reverse?

Lol yea, i did some mobbin in my stock 88' wagon, got all the way up horse lake grade with about 9 inches of snow, and made it through spots of snow up to my doors, it was a blast! only got stuck once too lol.

I Think I will take my RX out there today, it snowed another 3-4 inches or so yesterday and its snowing right now. I was amazed I actually got that thing to start today, normally it just will not start when its below freezing. I'll see if i can get Trevor to come with me so he can film it

Oh no.... The Australian disease of going out and just doing doughies, burnouts and drag racing has caught on to the Americans...
