is this for your Camero

or your Austin Healy Sprite?

opps wrong forum

just when people put out statements / questions

with no engine/fuel system/year

well what do they want us to do

guess??

The thottle body on the newer EJ series (MAP sensor types)

likes a volume of air

directly in front of it.

Does that help??

you reuse your stock air box, but put in a nice filter like a K&N, Perrin, STi, HKS, etc.

the cold air/short ram intakes are worthless without a tune. so i recommend you wait and save your money so when you put on your intake have the engine retuned afterwards, otherwise you can make LESS power then before.

Mr. Easterly sir,

Your engine is a fairly well tuned piece of kit right out

of the factory.

All engines benefit from a cooler (denser) air charge as

it contains more of the active ingredient 02.

If you want to modify this tuned intake system

please see the Nabisco boyz.

They do this all the time and what you get here

will pale in comparison to what they have tried.

Happy and smooth running New Year

if your intrested in more power...i will mention 3 things....1st and foremost a catless uppipe ( Since i work for Subaru ive seen many, many of these pre-cats break up and get sucked into the turbo...bad design on subarus part) after you get that installed...i have had pretty good luck on my 02 WRX with a cold air intake....and finally find a reputable tuner to bring it together...as suggested earlier http://www.nasioc.com is more performance oriented.... also check out http://www.clubwrx.net ...alot of smart people and tons of info on there as well...

I would not waste your money on any sort of air filter setup for a wrx. The stock parts work fine for 300+ WHP. If you get the wrong one it will skew the MAF readings and the car will run lean without proper tuning.

My car runs 12's @110mph with a stock box and a paper filter.

Your money would be much better spent on a turbo downpipe. You can get them for as little as $100 on ebay. While your putting it on, pull the turbo up pipe off and knock the cat out of it. Then tune the car for the new parts and enjoy the power!
