Some wheel switching on the '82 wagons

Featured Replies

I put the pugs on the 4x4 wagon, and the white wagon wheels from the 4x4 wagon onto the 2wd wagon. I think they both look better than before :)

Now, just have to get them running -- no engine in the 4x4 one (it's on the workbench...), and the 2wd needs exhuast gaskets pretty bad -- sounds like an old john deere tractor.

Sorry for the lousy lighting for the pics....

Can anyone spot the problem with the tires on the 4x4 wagon? Yeah... I know.. I kind of need to finish repainting it too :)

Just drive it backwards, you'll be ok.

If I didn't personally know of it's death, I'd swear that 2wd wagon used to be mine. Almost the same rust spots and everything, but your paint is better.

Yeah.... I put them on the wrong sides  Didn't remember to check that till the last tire.... well, I've got plenty of time to switch them again before I get the engine in there :)

I just got rid of the blue wagon (as of like 15 minutes ago). A friend of mine was looking for a smaller car to run around in (currently has choice of an 80's 1 ton chevy pickup, or a new dodge cummins 3500 with a 3 or 4 yard dump bed -- both get around 12mpg. Or a MG convertible, which isn't so nice in the winter...). And I was looking for a snowplow for a truck (which I'm going to modify and put on the back of my tractor). Which he has sitting around gathering leaves and dirt (he's got a skidsteer with a snowblower now). So... we traded

Why one of the Wagons is Half Painted in Green?

Well... cause eventually it's going to be all green with rally stripes on the hood. But, I had never used a paint gun before when I did that... so I was learning. :-\

Well... I Suggest you to use Fine Sandpaper all over it, before give it the new Paint Coats, it will improve the Looks and will make the Paint to Hold on better.

ACK! Thats not how I remember that wagon:lol:

Oh out of curiousity, why'd you pull the engine out of it anyways?

5 speed dual range conversion mostly. And, for a while I was thinking of the EJ22.. but now I'm thinking more EA81 SPFI. I still want to put a diesel in there too... but have been havng a hard time getting my hands on the one I want (only sold in europe)...
