She said it's always had grease in it... Is it ok to buy? She wants $250 which is really high, but I can't find a low mileage transmission anywhere. kingbobdole Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 +1.. I just don't pay over $100 for a tranny myself... yards usually cost about $75 around here and I keep that as my benchmark. As far as sitting hurting the syncros... depends on where it was sitting... if it was in a car with a hood, it's probably fine. If it was out in a field with no dipstick, it could have rust in it. All the Soobs at the pull-a-part have at least 180,000 miles and are AWD (last time I checked), looking for a very low mileage replacement.
