February 3, 200917 yr How well do you think a subaru would do in this stuff? I am planning on going up there in may.I will have my 84 subaru GL with a welded diff and 26" tractor tires. Not to mention removing as much weight as I can get away with.My friends gonna go up with a his ranger on 36"s.Its gonna be fun.Any subarus gonna represent from spokane/CDA and the surrounding area?It would be cool to show all those big V8's what small lightweight 4x4 cars can do..
February 3, 200917 yr Author well, piss. it seems that the mod bogs directly interfer with the demolition derby down here.its kinda of a memorial thing for my friends dad.we were planning on going up right after the derby but it seems everything is pretty much over by sunday.so I guess we will just go up in the fall.
February 3, 200917 yr All you have to do is hit it at 62mph just like ever other guy there, doesn't seem like you need to have 4x to get through that "bog"............Over hear we call what they are doing "Seafair"........... Just hydro plane your way over it.............. Doesn't really look like any fun at all, you'll just end up with bent raidus and control arms. Jeff
February 3, 200917 yr Author I dont think a EA81 could accelerate fast enough to hydoplane over that, besides its much funner to get out when your not going 60 +mph...
February 4, 200917 yr We go up there every year! Its a lot of fun, in my shop class we work on my teachers K-5 Blazer for the mud bogs. If you come up, Ill be up there. -Jaren
February 4, 200917 yr We have mud runs around here as well. The Subarus that enter actually do quite well! They often beat out the big lifted bubba trucks. I've seen a lot of people cut up street signs and fasten them in place as a skid plate so that they just "float" across the mud. I've always wanted to enter my Brat, but it always seems like something else is going on:-\
February 4, 200917 yr if that was around here, subie would win. most of the lifted 4x4 trucks around here don't have working 4wd.
