Anyone ever use these?:http://market.autopartsfair.com/subaru-engine_parts/item-t5999_81740mgx_5.html?campaign=trustmymechanic

They look like the OEM's, wondering if anyone has heard of / tried these?

Its better just to stick with Subaru thermostats. They are not that much different price wise and I and a majority of the board swear by them.

those are more expensive than oem from Subaru....why even go that route of paying more and taking a chance. get a oem, from Jason at Mike Scarff.

OEM EJ thermostats are costing me about $20 bucks out here.

Did anyone notice that that ad was a listing for the EA71 engine, from 70-79?

Wrong year, and I still wouldn't trust it. Not a place were I want ot try to save 5 bucks

If you look at the supplier, that probably is the same as the OE thermostat. Looks like a decent part, has the jiggle valve.

I don't like the cheap aftermarket ones, just because without the little jiggle valve it is a pain to get the coolant filled and the air out. I have never had a performance problem with the cheapie ones though.

I've had no problems with AM thermostats. Yes you have to replace them periodically but thats a standard thing. And they only cost 6 bucks.
