February 4, 200917 yr starts and runs great for a few seconds. then tach goes to zero and engine dies. checked distributor and wires. checked all fuses and fusible links. please help.
February 4, 200917 yr Install a new fuel filter and fresh gas? At least make sure your getting gas to the throttle body if you have spark.
February 4, 200917 yr could also be a rusted tank and plugged system do you have pressure? will it idle as long as you don't touch anything????
February 4, 200917 yr Author guys, i just went out after cooling it down and it ran just fine. left it running for like 45 minutes. i did unplug the neg side of the battery earlier but still died. just thought i could reset the computer. now its running fine. i will drive to work in the morning and repost what happened. but please keep them coming. the guys that posted, thank you, i did check all of that but didnt post it. thank you and keep up the help. one thing i can say when i started using usmb long ago was the boys.....always keep me on the right track to diagnosing my problems. thanks again to those who have posted.

February 4, 200917 yr +1 to Gloyale on the coil, also have seen the pick up coil in the distributor have similar issues:)
February 4, 200917 yr add to the list of things that make the tach go wild bad alternator diodes bad dist., even after the hitachi module is replaced
February 5, 200917 yr Maybe it's your Enkie wheels? Maybe the RX doesnt like them and you should give them to me.
