I have done numerous CV boots on my Saab and Subarus, but the last joint I bought had a different type of band, and I ended up using a pair of pliers. Would a cv banding tool work? i bought a replacement steering rack boot for a toyota from advance auto, it came with a black plastic wiretie / ziptie. i guess there isn't as much wear and tear as on an axle.
