February 27, 200917 yr loyale spfi 4wd 5spd built 8/91 is there supposed to be a speedometer cable?? there is only a rubber plug! speedomerer does NOT work searched and nothing answered this ?
February 27, 200917 yr looks like it was built WITHOUT the cable! no kidding! So the rubber plug that goes into the tranny doesn't have a hole in it? That's weird! Is this your car or one you're working on? Maybe take the dash out a little to see if the speedo cable is floating around behind the dash?:confused:I dunno
February 27, 200917 yr speedometers are overrated. But I would not recommending telling that after getting pulled over.
February 28, 200917 yr Dennis, apparently you were not listening when I told you that it quit working in 2004. So I yanked the cable to replace it, but never got around to it. Hey another mystery solved yay.
