March 14th Walker Run

Featured Replies

The last run up to walker was a bad run, 3 out of the 4 of us where knocked off in the first ten mins of of wheeling. So might as well try it again on Saturday March 14th, I think it would be cool to try and go up in the gravel pit and go up upper Mainline, trying to get around the gate at the lower side is just going to tear everthing up, there is no good way to get by there, you just drop down on your axle and bust the rearend or the shaft coming out of it. anyways............thats the plan..............

Edited by one eye

is there a way you could use a trailer wheel ramp for that rock bump at the gate, the one i see pictures ff and your subies busting rear diff axles cups on the big rock hump....or maybe some old tires down and plywood over.

I Was thinking the same thing, just a metal ramp, like for loading a lawn mower would do the trick.

Rick's went the same way yours did, But mine broke in the rearend. So As I tried to pound the axle off the stub started to walk out of the housing.

Not yet. I am going to take the blocks off and do the 2 pieces of steel attached to the car like on your wagon. So right now i still have the same blocks on the back.

Should be pretty warm, and raining, as long as your fan is blowing you should be fine.

Rick is out, TOD couldn't get fixed, so he S-canned the whole motor. There should be four Subarus and a couple Jeeps and one Toyota.

Had a blast today, thanks Again Jeff . that was some nice muddy hill climbs good times, good to have the white car going again

thanks Soobiedoo for the help lastnight getting it ready ,it had no leaks:banana: thinkin a 1 peice fiberglass front end may be in its future to make it even lighter and maybe ditch that winch , or get a smaller lighter one,

I got some videos and pics, it was raining and Snowing pretty hard so I didn't get to many, I'll upload a few after bit. I killed my doors and woody tried to put a bullet in his sedan, but other than that very little damage was done, Next run I think welded rearends will be a must, John did pretty good considering but still had trouble. The jeep of course did very well but the other jeep was on its first run ever so he took it very EZ.

I'll post up some vids real soon .........................
