Welcom to the rust belt , this rear control arm came off a 1986 gl 4x4 wagon, i did hear that subaru had a recall for this very item, i dont think this owner went back for it

Remedy

RUST PROOF OR REPLACE REAR SUSPENSION, AS NECESSARY.

ewwww glad we don't use salt here... they do use that magnesium chloride though, and it causes problems too... just not as bad as salt

that should buff right out, or just put POR-15 on it and it will be like new

Wonder if subaru has any of those laying around
