intake mods?

Featured Replies

so i was reading up on people cutting out air boxes for better performance and continued to see that the intake is just too restrictive for any improvements. now with that in mind, if i go to the junk yard and grab a mpfi intake (seeing how mine is a non tubo mpfi ea82) and mod it, quite extensivly, do you think i can see a big improvements or are the heads just too restrictive? maaaaaybe ill even try to fit like a chevrolet TB on there.. maybe im just thinking too big?

EA82`s intake Manyfolds have Water Passages, so I Really Believe that instead of Mod one, is Better Idea to make a Custom intake; But the Head`s inlets will Remain the Same...

...Unless you have another EA82 with the Spider intake...

Kind Regards.

yea i was thinking of just having some fun with this ea motor before i make the plunge into a ej swap, now this "spider intake" ive heard alot about it but never any hard facts or even where to find one (ie what year, car etc)and what the differences are. but if i get another set of heads, junk yard run!! lol i can totaly port and polish and do whatever to them. just seeing where i can take this motor, since everyone says its not worth it totaly makes me want to try hard to do something.
