March 23, 200917 yr Was there a skid plate available from Subaru for the gen 1 outbacks? I would like to get one, but I can't find any. Any help would be great Thanks,
March 23, 200917 yr Author we are modifying an EA81 skid plate for my 95 Legacy...might be a thought What is involved in modifying the plate?

March 23, 200917 yr There was an optional skid plate package. I'm not sure if it was factory installed or a dealer acessory. There is one on my Mom's 99 OB limited. It's a skid plate from under the bumper to the crossmember and a rear diff protector/ skid plate also.
