April 23, 200916 yr MY 1999 Foreseter has the factory installed security system and it just goes off. No rhyme or reason. Can be a mile from nothng and it goes off.
April 23, 200916 yr alarms are the biggest scam there is, at least that is my stance. well sort of. kinda like bike locks, but not. someone can steal a bike without a lock a lot easier than the one next to it that is locked. But, even with the lock, there are bolt cutters. I still don't get it why someone activates an alarm on their car to walk to the ATM and back. There shoud be a sensitivity adjuster on the alarm brain, if you want to even mess with it.
April 23, 200916 yr Author There is. I beleive it is undwer the passengers seat. Thing goes off just sitting in a prking lot. Previous owner said it went off sitting in traffic before.
