June 23, 200916 yr i pulled my maf to clean it and see if it helps i have it out but dont know how i should clean it or with what. Go to your local auto parts store and ask for MAF cleaner. It's a spray can, specifically for cleaning an MAF.
June 23, 200916 yr It's easy to damage a MAF. Although there are some carb cleaners that claim to be ''MAF safe'', you're better off with a cleaner that's specifically for MAFs. Even so, be gentle when you work.
June 23, 200916 yr MAF cleaner is the recommended thing to clean the maf with CRC makes it i believe on the shelf next to the engine degreaser, PBBlaster, and stuff we usually go in for. Pricey stuff and it takes quite bit of it, want to be thorough
