vibration after 2 inch suspension lift

Featured Replies

was wondering if anyone else has had issues after installing a lift, I've noticed a vibration/shudder on acceleration that seems to smooth out when I ease off on the throttle. I did blocks with the 15 degree angle but did not drop the crossmember up front, i'm wondering if thats my next move. thanks (94loyale by the way)

When I put 2" lift blocks on my Forester I had the same thing.

Would really snap crackle and pop on tight corners.

Original CV's on front,119000mi.

Changed them out and problem solved.

it could be your tires jumping. my wagon likes to pretend it has hydraulics when i accelerate to fast :burnout:

I vaguely remember reading someones experience where pushing the struts and not the cross member will REALLY wear on your axles. I believe they said it would "eat through axles" So that could be causing some shuddering. Don't hold me to that tho

so all you did was install new axles? i'm going to try that first as well.

update, I installed crossmember blocks from a 97 outback(they were just shy of 1and1/4 inch thick) and used the steering coupler from a 95 legacy(perfect fit). the car is back to normal. thanks for the replies!

great, thanks for the feedback 94C. i'll definitely pull the steering coupler off my 1997 Legacy parts car before I send it to the scrap heap then.
