July 18, 200916 yr maybe Rooinater will pipe in here.he has been to naches several times.cheers, brian
July 18, 200916 yr A bit of info on it. Gives some info on difficulty and such. http://www.aworc.com/orv-area/Naches-Wagon-Trail.html A 4x4 board I'm on describes it as tight in spots. Fullsize rigs (meaning fullsize pickups+ ) generaly get body damage. Some spots require good clearance.
July 18, 200916 yr Yes, the first hill is really steep. But then again, I haven't been there in probably 7 or 8 years.
July 21, 200916 yr I was there Saturday. Granted we were in 'yota's and Jeeps but the trail is getting rough in a few spots. The initial hill climb is rugged. It was very dry and silty and much like driving on mud or snow at times. The trail for the most part is very passable in a Subaru with a lift and locker(welded or LSD). I would not try it in a stock one. Make sure to have a winch or come-a-long to get through the rough spots.
July 21, 200916 yr Author Hmmm, thanks for all the info. Maybe i'll wait until I have someone else along to winch me along, as my wife and I were going to go at it alone. I just got my LSD in about a week ago and am wondering how much of a difference it will make? Thanks, Jeff
