Turbo Fuel Pump in Non Turbo Impreza

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a non turbo 1994 ej18 impreza. I was calling around to get a price on a fuel pump for my car when a guy told me that I can use a turbo fuel pump on my car because it fits.

Is this correct and what are the pros and cons if there are any?

Thanks

Yes it is fine and it will work. You will have more fuel delivered to your engine than you really need so you may experience a rich condition.

Probably a little better power especially if your subie is modified. Little more fuel consumption but not by much.

Technically the fuel injector duty will change on its own because there is more pressure. Unless there wasn't enough pressure to begin with should make no difference.
