mr.radon Posted June 5, 2004 Share Posted June 5, 2004 If I remeber there is only a small change in the tranny. i think the casings are the same and the support is the same. MilesFox Posted June 6, 2004 Share Posted June 6, 2004 there is no dual range auto tranny. a 5spd dual range will swap in with little mods. you will need the driveshaft, clutch/flywheel assy, driveshaft and diff for the swap. you will need the crossmember for an ea81 manual tranny. the shifter hole and tranny tunnel may need massaged a little. right now i have a dual range 5spd and an ea82 in my 83 wagon. but many a person has done the swap, let the questions fly! She wouldnt know what to do with D/R Well I guess I'm a weird one then. I like having a d/r tranny on the street. Slap her in LOW and then I can beat a lot of people off the line.
