Well Im looking for a personal web site someone had that showed instructions for a carb mod. for our original carbs to perform better.. I think it has somethin to do with the two jets opening the same time but dont hold me to that..... I think the guy did it on a wagon it showed but I cant recall.. The only way you are going to get more high end on an EA81 is to change the cam. Compression ratio helps a bit too. That being said, I have no trouble passing in my Brat. TheSubaruJunkie Posted August 1, 2004 Share Posted August 1, 2004 The webpage should be working. Worked for me this morning. The weber will give you more power than the hitachi, even with the mod. The mod will probably give you 10%-15% increase in power while the Weber would probably give you close to 30% more power.
