yup...the bolt that holds down the carb that comes out of the top of the intake manifold is coming out when i tightened it down....i think im screwed rite there....do i need a new intake manifold now? :mad:

alrite well this is what i think it is...........i saw that the leak was still there and when i sprayed it at the base of the carb....near the gasket between the carb and the intake. there it was....so i was tightening it up the bolt nut wasnt tightening down...it was extracting the bolt that bolts it to the intake..... should i just take off the carb.?

it was at night on a camcorder....ill see what i can do

i think it might be the gasket....i cleaned everything up and put it back on and just got a better piece of hose and now im gonna go put it on

well i found the leak!!!!!!!!!! i havent fixed it yet cuz everything is hot hot hot. its this little round metal thing back behind the carb that looks like it connects rite up to the intake manafold.....does anybody know what the hell this thing is? and how do i go about sealing up tthe leak thanks -D

well i appreciate all the help i am not doing anymore tonite....but all the hints u guys have givin me are great....but they all sound like they are just on the surface....the problem lies where i cant see, down underneath everything, cuz i can see fine on the top.....but not on the bottom,,,and thats where i will be heading tomorrow.

right rear? if im looking at the engine , not in the drivers seat rite? cuz if im looking at the engine, where i got ths revv was in the right back behind the carb

light!? hhahaha no way!...its hella dark up here....i shecked if the carb was loose and no it wasnt.....i havelooked everywhere for a hose but i cant find one....im out here with a really good flashlight....but im sick of this already...i was that hose would replace itself.....i cant find it anywhere :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

ok well i got home tonite and i popped the hood, took off the air cleaner and adjusted the idle way up(1800rpm:eek: ) and i got it to hold an extremely shaky idle, i sprayed cleaner in the back right corner and got a revv... i ran out of cleaner but i have checked it thouroughly this past hour and cant find anything

well....if u guys want to do it this weekend on sunday we can definatly do that...i didnt think that would be good cuz of short notice.....i try to keep it sunday cuz thats the only day jeremy and amanda can have off unless they play hookey:grin: ...ur call.....i could probbably use help sooner:mad:

well i adjusted the right freakin screw sooooo idk i took off the airbox and am looking a little harder

crap u know i think i might havee then....if the idle isnt a round flathead screw that sticks out really far from the carb....i didnt need to remove the air cleaner either

well its time to have a little wrenchfest/ wheelin trip out here so i think i better plan one.....DECEMBER 17 will be the day....its a sunday socome on up here and lets go wheelin!!!!! post here if interested or pm me!!!!

well i dont freakin kno what the hell is wrong with this damn car.....i checked what u said too dave and its not it......i cant find any split hoses and missing hoses or anything......any ideas

i just talked to thesubarujunkie and he says its mosty likely a vacuum leak and the distributor thing only happens w/ ea82
