  1. i want one but i dont have any money.....im selling my pugs so i should have funds after that....GD i didnt mean changing the ratios... im saying that the gears are a little longer that they should be... might just be the tranny.........loyale 2.7 turbo....,my cousin just left for 3 weeks to honduras:)
  2. yeah dude i think maybe.....well actually i was gonna try to get a hold of u for a wheeling trip/wrenchfest out at my place. good wheelin and stuff.....i went wheeling to day and slide off the side of the road and snapped my drivers side mirror, taillights from hitting the fence and bent my push bar straight out pulling me out of the bottomless pit.....im more pissed....but hey live and let learn rite?....anyways yeah the carb still runs like crap and ill try to tighten everything i can on the carb.....oh yeah i got another question for the board...i was driving my wagon in 4th gear today and my gearing is extremely too wide...i was shifting out of 2nd at almost redline and third gear picks up at like 2700rpm:eek: and the same goes for 4th gear.....correct me if im wrong but dont u adjust the coil to get better ratios? and how do u do it? ....thanks -D
  3. sorry sir....anything could be wrong from in between where the carb bolts to the intake manifold all the way up to the airbox
  4. yes i probably should have marked the hoses....i drive it all the time it just idles like crap....i think i just have a $h*tty carb. oh and i dont have a cat on my exaust....ignore the smoking it has left im worried about the carb
  5. yes:lol: ....i have a 2 inch lift on my wagon(lifteroo) and 205/65/r15 and nothin.....no rubbin, not even wheelin. but i do have a lift.....u should get one if u find a deal. ........ur not a prick phizinza:)
  6. k guys i got the carb on and i started it up and its struggling ........ but not idling. i sprayed around to see if sealing the carb up was the problem...andd it wasnt. it seems as tho its something in the middle of the carb. not where it bolts to the intake but above it somewhere.....so..... Question #1... will me carb run and drive if a hooked it up wrong?....#2... what could leak in the carburetor thats in the middle of it? thanks -D
  7. yeah the choke and u might have a mild vacuum leak thats not helping things either (i got a really bad one rite now and im about ready to blow it the hell up)
  8. im afraid not....im parked in a carport and there is barely any light to get a shot. im out there with a really big flash light
  9. ok so u guys know how i had that "vacuum leak?" well i removed the carb and sealed up that bolt that came out of the intake manifold and sealed the carb up and put it on again tonite and i must not of hooked something up rite cuz now the damn thing doenst even run. i am at wits end now and it almost seems that im missing a hose on the top rear of the carb. i cant remember if there if there was something up with that or what but i can tell u guys i am pissed. i also got some smoke come out from the bottom passenger side of the engine compartment.........HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. nice.....hey scott it looks like u have way bigger tires in the back....how did u do that, if u had same gear ratios front and rear wouldnt that blow a diff? or do you have like 4.111 in the rear?
  13. yeah it must be 2 years old cuz brians posts are still here yeah im looking into getting a weber and a ported intake manifold(carfreak85) for this spare engine im building up for my wagon....i found a site where u can buy a weber for 230$ but how do i know im getting it jetted for a 1.8L?
  14. nice:headbang: you have one of the most clean ea81 subaru's i have ever seen.very nice. dont lose that thing its priceless....one more thing, where exactly is the speedo cable, i got a broken one and i need to replace it but i cant find it when i look up underneath the cluster. thanks -D

  16. i wanted to put in spfi pistons and get a ported intake manifold with a weber. and if i got some extra money, i want to rebuild aand port the heads. what else is there.?
  17. ok... i have a whole crap load of books and ive been using those too but i thought i should ask the pro's whats up...and suggestions on how to get some more juice?.............without turbos? and some tips on what to do and stuff.thats what im asking
  18. well i know how to do shocks oil changes and other stuff like that, ive learned a lot and i thought it would be better to learn more

  20. hey guys, im sure you've probably been seeing me post a lot of crap lately. well for my 84 wagon i got a back up engine and i thought id tear it apart and start trying to learn some things...today i drained the oil out and removed the heads and hg's. im wondering where to go from hear...cracking the thing in half i should say...in the process of tearing and learning, i want to rebuild it stronger and more powerful. i was thinking of higher compression pistons and junk like that.i was wondering if anybody had some pics of a torn apart engine or helpful hints and how to go about tearing this baby down. thanks for whatever -D
  21. i dont need a rebuild kit...its like 40 bucks... i just want this thing to be running and the carb is ok i went wheelin all day today and the car runs fine when in gear. i should have that one gasket i ordered from napa tomorrow and if its not the rite one ill pick up some paper or go by the dealership...
  22. dave, the meet has to be somewhere closer to me sooo i can drive:clap: idont even have plates on it:) ...jeremey, it was freaking insane last night huh? i was up snowboarding and it took us almost 3 hours to get from mt. rose to wingfield springs:eek: :eek: :eek:
  23. do u guys have any pics? of like the carb off, gaskets and junk...oh yeah the retard in napa said that u dont need gasket sealer for carb gaskets:eek: thats not true rite?
