  1. http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm ^Wow that seems to have all the info I will ever need However I am still curious if anyone on the board has a 98 Impreza Wagon
  2. Is it safe to assume that there are not many of these on the road or something? I know I only have seen one in colorado springs and that was my aunts...
  3. I am purchasing a 98 Impreza and I was wondering if there are any quarks with that year and style of wagon wagon or anything I need to keep a eye on? Info 1998 Wagon Style 2.2 L 4 Cyl AWD Standard (And if you need any other info just ask) Thanks in advance
  4. Ok the GL I was looking at fell through but there is a 91 legacy wagon I have been eyeing, what are some things that I should know about them? Problems improvements from the GLs etc. Thanks for your time. (It might take me a awhile to respond I am going to a place without internet connections )
  5. Well I dont doubt the experiance of the members, more or less just covering all bases (/me wonders if there is some guy around here stacking on fake airbags steering wheels so they sell better :-p ) Anyway I didnt mean to get people angry at me. Well I will post pictures of that subaru when I get it (Yes I know it doesnt have a airbag:)) In other news I will be selling my old 86 GL, Anyone Interested?
  6. I will take a picture next time I am up there, the subaru in question is a little ways away from me. Maybe I am imagining the whole airbag thing, but I have seen airbags in atleast 10 other wagons (That looked like a loyale) is there something that was made by subaru that looked like a GL Wagon (Inside and Out) but with a different name. I will start taking a closer look at all the wagons I have seen with the airbags to and try to get pictures.
  7. Um Im not completly sure the mechanic knew the right year, It is most likely not a 88, but it does have a airbag. Either way I will look into it more and get some more detail on it then I will update this thread.
  8. Mechanic said it was a 88 (Might be wrong, I havnt looked greatly into it cause I am working on getting the money), it does have a airbag, as for the whole loyale/GL thing I consider the GLs loyales since the body and the insides look pretty much the same and if you go to a place like Autozone there system doesnt always have GLs in there but have the loyales. It is NOT a legacy. As for the guy with the picture the car looks pretty much like that but with rims that say subaru on them (kinda a gold color)
  9. The subaru I am looking at is a 88, it does have a airbag, and it is a standard transmission with 4wd
  10. I am looking into buying one of the later loyales I think it is a 90s one. I have heard that parts are getting harder to find for those things and I was wondering if it would be better to switch to a early legacy. What do you guys think? Also what are some good newer models? I have only focused on the 90s and before models so I dont really know of the quarks of the later models. I have heard that Subarus between 95 and 2000 had a lot of head gasket problems and thats about it. Thanks for your time (I lied, its a 88 so 2 years older then mine, but so much less rust, and a dented hood. I plan on getting a new hood there is a nice one in the junk yard.
  11. I had a similer problem... Turned out my distributor cap died...
  12. My 86 Gets about 20-22 MPG 23-24 if Im really lucky.
  13. I did the same thing, However if you can find all the bits it is quite easy to repair just takes time (Unless you lost some parts). However after reassembling it, it worked again.
  14. Does Subaru still make new seat belts? Or do we just gamble our seatbelt strength?
  15. Thanks I will take a look when its daylight and not snowing...
  16. Hmm Looked at my Suby and I didnt see those two lines... I will take a picture when I get a chance.
  17. Im going to go get a garden hose adapter thingy most likely this weekend "the Subarus intake and outlets are vert close together and more times than not a flush doesnt help cause whats going in is coming straight out." How will I know if this is happening?
  18. I was thinking... Maybe I need to take pictures of my Subaru and maybe have one of you guys just circle the hose in paint. I will get a picture posted in the next few hours.
  19. I have read through other threads and I have a pretty good Idea of the process. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to post pictures of the correct hose(S) from the engine compartment to attach a garden hose to flush it out. I have a 86 Subaru 1.8 L FI with AC. Thanks for Your Time
  20. Can anyone tell me how you remove the antenna on th 86 Subarus?
  21. I should have used some regular clamps... But I had some medical clamps I used. (Someone tell me why I have medical clamps in the back of my car?)
  22. Cant Help With the RPM thing but when I change out the fuel filter I just clamp the lines
  23. Ive actually considered going with Intersate. They seem to have a good following and are in my price range. However I will look into the NAPA stuff.
