  1. Ah yes, the flexi flares. I've seen them before, but I just found the bushwackers for the Samuri. I like the pocket look better, but the price is about $250 more for the sammy flares than the universal flexi-flares. I'll have to think about it. Thanks for all the input guys, you've really helped me out on this one..
  2. Suzuki Samuri...It took me a minute...Thanks for the info, Where did you see the flares for the Suzuki? I cant seem to find them anywhere on-line
  3. I checked, I'm a little high in the back, but the locals only seem to care about the front. If anyone else is interested in checking their states laws, http://www.truckworld.com/How-To-Tech/97-lift-laws/lift-laws.html seems to be a good spot for info. I hope this doesn't make me sound too stupid, but whats a Sammy?
  4. I was hoping I could just grab a set for like a toyota or something, bolt them on, then trim the fender to fit. I figure someone out there with a hatch already knows what would fit and what won't. There aren't any 4x4 shops around where I could pull some off the shelf and see what might fit. I have about 6 feet of the garden edge stuff in the garage, but I'd rather spend some $ and get some buchwackers or something along those lines. Thanks for the input.
  5. Well, I have to get some wider tires, and I concerned with getting a ticket for not having enough fender to cover them up. The cops around here are known for getting out the tape measure to check things like tire clearence, bumper height, etc, and I've already been pulled over for not having a rear bumper. (c'mon shady, need some tube bumpers) Anyway, I need some fender flares, pocket or other, to help me stay compliant. Any ideas on what flares I should get? What are you guys using? What model were they originally for? BTW I have an 87 hatch. Any info would be helpful...
  6. Thats what I thought, The car came with two freshly rebuilt axles, so I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend. Any Ideas on the weatherstripping? My passenger door has none on it what so ever..
  7. I have an 87 hatch with the BYB 3/4 lift. Its going to need some new tires in the near future. I currently have 15" Pug ovals with 195/75/15 tires on it. I dont remember the brand (BF Goodridge?) but I know they aren't made anymore. Any suggestions on what I should get? It'll see some mud, and some occasional road trips to get to the mud. Basically, it'll see everything but rock crawling. It already has some trimming done on the fenders, but more trimming is not a problem. Also what size tire should I run. This is my first off-road vehicle and I'm kinda new to the tire sizing. Please forgive the newbie question... Any Info/opinion will help greatly. Thanks
  8. Hello to everyone. I have a couple of questions reguarding my 87 hatch I hope you all can help me with. First, Does anyone know where I can score a model specific weather stripping kit for the front doors? Second. I have a loud clicking coming from the left side in the front. It only occurs when slowing down in gear. It is not brake related. I was assuming it was the CV joint, but I thought I'd get yalls opinion. Any info/opinion you can provide would be a great help. I just bought this lifted hatch and am trying to turn back into a road worthy vehicle. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the pics..Its good to know this car has some history. I'm working on some body/sealing problems already. I hope to get it back in good shape soon. Needs a new passenger door as the bottom near the sil is pretty much not there. Also needs some work in the rear quarter panel. The motor runs great, although it seems a little rich. Shouldn't take me long to get everything sorted out.
  10. I've got an 87 hatch and would be very interested in some tube bumpers for front and rear. I dont see any pic on your website for the tube bumpers. Hook me up with some prices and pics and I'm sure I'll jump on board...You can send pics to peskimeski@yahoo.com
  11. Bought the $900 87 hatch that was in the marketplace and was on ebay a few weeks back. I had to go to Newark to pick it up over the weekend. Its a little beat up but runs like a top. It used to belong to someone here at USMB. I'veordered a new hood for it, and I'm probably going to get into the christmas group buy for some bumpers. It already has a BYB lift on it. This is a completely different beast than my old Justy. I'm going to put a fresh coat of mud on it this weekend. I'm so stoked. Now I can finally participate in here!
  12. The suzuki DOHC from the swift GT will bolt in, but only in the FWDs not the AWD. It will not bolt to either transmission, you must use the swift tranny. Just thought I'd let you know. You might want to check out the justy forum for more info. http://subarujusty.proboards20.com/index.cgi
  13. Valves properly adjusted? I put some cams in one of my vehicles once, forgot to adjust the valves, and was getting 0 comp all the way across. Just a thought...
  14. Sounds a little shady to me. I dont know about up North, but down here a subies a subie and any dealer can make warranty claims for you. At least thats my understanding. I had a friend who owned a 2.5rs that self destrcuted. He bought it in Illinois and then moved to Tennessee shortly after. The Tenn dealer had no problem making a claim for him. He got his new motor and the 2.5rs now has almost 300,000 miles on it..I would suggest calling the other dealers and letting them know whats up. They may be able to help you..
  15. I had the same problem with logging on...account approval pending. I've e-mail'd the mod about four times got two responses saying that is was fixed and ready. Still says account approval pending... This has been going on for seven weeks. I finally said screw it. My justy was killed a few months back by a garbage truck. I've search for a new on, but as I'm sure you know they're few and far between. Looks like I'll have to make due with my ea-82 wagon. Good luck with the justy. They're great little cars if you can keep the motor from eating itself.
  16. FREAKIN' AMAZIN'! Your imp must have gills!
