Brat Ig key will not turn to off
Hi, as good as our cars are, this is and was a lousy place to go the cheap route. Every pre 90 Subaru I have owned has had ignition problems. My 3 first gen's all had to be re-cylindered, my '82 has had a new lock put in it, my '88 hatch gave up the ghost at 78,000 miles. Face it, they are p.o.s. locks. I have been driving my first gen '80 around with the switch removed from the lock, one screw, and using a screwdriver for a key while the locksmith beats his tool until he gets around to installing the lock that subaru3 was kind enough to send me. I vote junk, Bradd

RX Tranny
Hi, thanks, so then it is not like the D/R 5 speed I have now that is in or out. Sucks, there is one for a mere 50.00 on ebay about to close, Bradd

Quick RX trans question!
Hi, is the dual range 5 speed in an RX either 4wd or awd all the time? If I install it in my Brat, will it be one or the other instead of the D/R or 2wd set-up that I really like? Hurry please, Bradd

Well, the prodigal has returned. I am glad you made it. I sent Eric's hammer with Robert and Lori down to Rubicon. The trashwagon sits, lonely in the lot. I haven't heard anything different from Noah or Austin, so I better make sure it has antifreeze in it. Had a great dinner in Sandpoint with Robert and Lori last night and they went home to work on unhatched all night to leave for Eugene this morning. Glad your back, stay out of trouble and get your license straightened out, Bradd

Webers ok, but turbo better?
Hi, I am thinking about doing the turbo thing to the Ea-81. It is a fairly solid engine and I believe it will take it. I toyed with the idea of putting in an EA-82, but it is a pain in the behind. So I guess the question is, what would be needed and how hard is it to do. I realize that the turbo it self, spfi?, controls, exhaust change. I know that some brave soul has done this. I would imagine that it would be better to take the components off of an exsisting engine. Anyone got one? Thanks Bradd

Apparently not, Shawn must have turned her on. I am glad to see this up and running. I am sure there will be those that wait until EZ dies before moving, but if there is nothing to read over there, tey will come. Plus this is much better any way, Bradd
