  1. not sure, depends on the weather. I ve been painting the house and I have to use all the good weather days for painting. I am trying also to do some things too my hatch before the meet, guess you could say I am as busy as a one-legged butt kicker at a county fair.
  2. I didn't know the man but from everyones good words I am sure he will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family and those of you who are his friend, keep his memory alive.
  3. Pauls funny, no batteries......come on Paul. Phat is a newly wed. he's not like us old guys who have been married forever. batteries not included.
  4. Check my honeydo list, I am going to be painting like a mad man so I can get a day or two to work on my hatch before the meet. I'll see what I can do.
  5. Can't wait to see the hatch when you get it done, you'll have to bring it up for the winter PB meet.
  6. got it, and replied. Let me know if you need any info, I'll do my best to help you out.
  7. I can take a hit or two Dave, at least I go to meets. if you went to a meet PHAT, we'd be able to slam you for getting stuck or driving a legacy in places that they usually don't go. Thats ok though some day you'll get the kitchen pass and make one meet then you'll be hooked.
  8. I like nice racks........ That is a really nice BIG rack...sorry I had to. looks like really nice work.
  9. sounds like I'll be going home after the meet, or I'll be sleeping in the hatch. Hey guys don't forget the dollar bills....
  10. swamped last time, everyone went down those powerlines and I went down to check on everyone. Thanks anyway...
  11. But not everyone has radio's, If you coming with your's I'll make sure I get my CB back in my car. Some people might even have FSM radios, I have a couple so if anyone has those types we can all keep in touch. Good idea.....I guess I really need to have one so when I get STUCK I can call for Dave and Paul to come save the day......
  12. I live about 10 mins from AC, never go there myself but I can get you there from the meet. Let me know.
  13. Myself and my brother pulled my ea81 out of my brat, there not that heavy. I ve heard of someone on this board who pulled an engine with a 4x4 and some chain. Sorry I don't have a hoist to loan yea.
  14. You'd have to mount the 60 in the bed, I bet if you mounted it to the passengerside funroof the brat would lean to that side. How about a Mark19?
  15. T minus 24 days and counting... Dennis are you getting so of those Subaru nuts from work to come to the meet??? Are you bringing some type of super secrect subaru from the shop???
  16. I know this has nothing to do with older gen subarus but with the recent doings of some of the board memebers and the Con I thought some of you might enjoy this. This is from "Autoweek" Sept 29, 2003. "Motorsport engineering specialist PRODRIVE is evaluating a project to build a special Subaru Impreza that would mount a challenge for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb course record in Colorado next year. No one has broken the 10-minute barrier at Pikes Peak. Prodrive builds and operates Subaru's factory team cars in the World Rally Championship. Its drivers, Petter Solberg and Tommi Makinen, sit second and eighth respectively in the standings." I think this would be a serious feather in the cap for Subaru, I can see the TV commericals with Subaru's doing the CON, Pikes Peak.
  17. you know the old saying Dennis, the one about rocks and glass houses... Have you figured out how to use a clutch yet? Whats that smell? Clutch smells funny when its hot doesn't it? hehehe....
  18. My memory is going also, you must be getting old. I took mine apart the same way but then dumped everything together in a zip lock bag so I wouldn't lose any of the parts. Thanks for the help.
  19. Are you a good sailor? Maybe a tug boat captain. pulled my tug out of the pond. That's a good idea, should I hook one to the front and the back? I'll call one of my old army buddies and get my hatch ready to be sling loaded under a Blackhawk just in case your idea doesn't work.
  20. Thanks, I was thinking it would be differant for each diff. Now if someone who has a FSM could check it out for me. That would be swell...
  21. Getting stuck in a huge puddle and having to get pulled out by a touring wagon and then having to pull the drain plugs to empty out the gallons of water would stink. I wish I had a winch, but I still have my trusty come-along......and somemore straps....
