hey Eric do you know how many shims go on each side of the LSD housing? I know its split like 3 on one side and 2 on the other but I am not sure which side gets which amount. Maybe I'll just throw it together and see if I get allot of noise, if I do then I'll switch'm....

Try to record how many shims are on each side of the housing when you finally get it apart... I tore mine apart acouple of months ago an am getting ready to rebuild but can't remember how many shims go on each side. Thanks..

Nice idea Caboo, I was think'n of a four point. I would use the exsisting bolts to mount the lap belt and the rear seat belt bolts for the shoulder straps. I guess I'll have to decide if I want to put the rearseat in or just leave it out.

Shotgun seats usually aren't a problem, helps to have a couple of eyes to watch the road....

I have the LSD, trying to figure out how many shims go on each side so I can get it together correctly. I am going to check with someone before the meet. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can get it in before the meet....

Anyone else have any other ideas, or dealings with seatbelts? Thanks..

Just got a phone call from a friend who HAD a 83 gl wagon, seems someone pulled out in front of said wagon. My friend Tboned the inattentive idiot at about 30 to 35mph, here is where the problem/questions come to play. My friends seat belt was on properly and secured, only problem is it didn't function properly and my friend ended up get partially ejected. After many internal and external stitches to my friends scalp and right elbow everything is as well as can be. Now I am asking these questions because only last week I had a problem with my seatbelt in my 87 hatch, it would lock half-way and would not release. I pulled it and replaced it with one from my parts hatch, so far seems to be working fine. -what is the life expectancy of a stock seatbelt? -what have you guys done for replacement belts? -anyone know where to get OEM style replacement seatbelts? Oh by the way my friends wagon was DOA, another old soobie gave its life.

hmmmmm 22B........yummmmmmy. Wow now I can say I ve seen Dennis's new ride, maybe someday I'll get to see it in person.......when is the PBmeet?????? I vote for a Saturday in October, mainly because for the first time in many moons I have Saturdays off for awhile........

Wish I could but my roo won't bring me. With the good weather we've been having here I've been working on cleaning up the rust holes in the floor. Ive cleaned them up but haven't gotten them repaired, don't think I want to get wet from all the rain we're suppost to get. Wish I could, but I'll be at the PB meet....
