im about to by a 90 legacy that wont shift if you put it in drive, only if you shift by going threw 1,2,3 and so on.... whats up with this?

well i plan on paying around 2500.00 but its been serviced at my dads dealership since new, so we know the car. i guess its worth what ever someone will pay for it but its probably one of the nicest ones out there. ill get pics if i decide to buy it

little old lady in town has a 82 brat her husband had but he past away. 79,000 miles, never been restored, NO RUST !!! its goldish pink, wierd color, what is this thing worth? i see some for around 4000.00 is it worth in the 5,000 range? i might buy it. this car is seriosuly show room brand new

my 96 gt does the same exact thing, it seems like if i go somewhere and ease into the gas it works fine, just when you put the hammer down and try to rip outa somewhere it does this im gonna change the fluid again.

orrrr..... the easy way is to get on a gravel road or mud of some sort, and floor it. see if you take off like a banshee and/or go sliding sideways then you know your in awd

my dads porsche 930 (911 turbo) with 13,000 miles on it leaked like crazy with synthetic, then we went back to the castrol gtx and no more leaking. the oil sits in the push rod tubes so it leaked. i saw that with my own eyes that synthetic made this car leak

dont replace unless they are bad, just clean the threads really good and lube them up when they go back in. if you have a wire wheel take that to them. trust me on this as experience from a subaru shop

they really turned out good. we should of got some more pics, maybe next weekend we will hit it up again

float level has also been set when they did the choke stuff. the car is a 5 speed, im gonna have to get a timing light and see where its at. im thinking this might be my problem and get my self some new plug wires

the plugs are good, wires im gonna replace. the choke and everything works just as normal as can be. i had a mecanic work on all that and got it to work perfect. dont know if its getting worse or not because i bought the car late this summer and ive been driving it to school and its been the same ever since ive owned it. the distributer timing have anything to do with it? maybe i should pull the thing out and move it a cog then retime it

no o2 sensor on this car, its a carbed ea82...

i have pretty much the same bar off a 84 brat, i installed it on my 86 4wd wagon. looks sweet and helps a ton, just made brackets that bolt onto the tow hooks and bolts on the top of the bumper

my exhaust on my 86 d/r 4wd wagon is stinking like gas almost. smells rich... the car seems to run good and start good but gets 19mpg which sucks! my distributer is advanced all the way.. do you think its off a cog? you cant advance it anymore. the car doesnt ping or anything just is hard on gas. also new air filter, fuel filter, plugs straight pipe exhaust (no mufflers) what can i do? choke is also working properly

air filter is brand new.... also i have a 85 parts car with a manual that has a o2 sensor. probably a CA car, my car is carbed as this one to.. the choke was also worked on my my dads mechanic and that all works good now i should probably get a timing light and see what thats like, how about spark plug wires? would they change much, how do i know when they are bad

no spot for one, and the wire is not there what can i do?

actually i just remembered, it doesnt have a oxygen sensor? whats with that

does anything have to due with running full straight exhaust (no mufflers) just a cat .. who knows if its even good yet? you think replacing the o2 sensor will do anything, it also does seem to run rich?

this is my 86 gl 4wd d/r wagon. its all in town driving back and forth to school and work. i calculated between 19-20mpg. i really dont even get my foot into much at all, i try to drive the car as normal as i can. new fuel filter, good plugs, new air filter, and im about to put synthetic in it for the winter. what else can i do? think its that hi-crappy carb? the car really doesnt seem to have much go either hope someone can help

my throttle on my 86 4wd wagon is sticking if you really get your foot into it. it comes down, doesnt just keep going but it sticks there for a while. could it be somthing like my secondaries sticking?

hey, its a old style ea82, 85-94 they all look the same. this is jeff right? its matt here. where did you find yourself a turbo loyale in detroit lakes? they arent tooo dependable unless you find a good one. is it that grey one in town? let me know id like to check it out with ya sometime
