  1. Looks like they only had them 89 and up from what the dealer is telling me. I ordered one and am going to try to find a spot or I am going to tap in somewhere. It will be better than nothing. Thanks:)
  2. Searched but can't find the location to install a child seat anchor kit for the teather strap. Now I am wondering if back in 1987 they even manufactured a location for the bolt to screw into? Anybody know or have advice. My car just runs around town but I'd like to install the teather strap if possible. Thanks
  3. Roundeye , my car is also a 1987 carb.with only 86,000 miles. Now I see you car I need to tint my windows =)
  4. ok, ok, I'll get it dirty for you asap. We just got 3 feet of snow in 48 hours so as soon as it is mild and the ground gets wet I'll find some good mud holes. BTW. It is a 3/3 BYB kit. and so far the Toyo's are solid, good snow traction and not noisy at all.(205-75-15)
  5. Ok people, get used to me posting a bit more since I finally get my project lifted and ready for some fun. Now I just need to learn how to drive it properly and I'll be set. Big thanks to Patrick at Ozified for a great BYB lift kit and even better customer service! I wish there were more lifted subes in my area but it's ok being the only guy crazy enough to find a decent enough car and build it. Yes it's dual range and currently sporting 27inch Toyo AT's.
  6. That thing is going to be sick. nice projects
  7. 1990-94 Legacy. That engine won the world endurance competition plus I put that car up against any for long term reliability. Second is 93-01 Impreza. Consumer reports best pic more times, best with the 2.2L or do a WRX swap
  8. what's your plans for the car. Daily driver, offroad machine ??
  9. Never run a Brat before but spent some time behind the wheel of an Eagle and it was a tough car. It probably wouldn't handle like the Sube though.
  10. If you are only looking for a few inches why not look into some Forester suspension. Nice thing about subes is that alot of parts from others will work. That would be a pretty cheap solution for you IMO.
  11. I chose my 1987 Gl because I am a Subaru enthusiast who was tired of pulling my 1998 RS coupe up next to another clone WRX swapped car with the same mods that my family couldn't fit in and was expensive in speeding tickets. No more speeding tickets and my bumper will be up to the mirrors on a WRX plus DUAL RANGE 4WD
  12. Thanks for the help. I will buy the WRX diff. and swap the parts as outlined in the FAQ section. (Do it Sidewayz, still looking for pug alloy lugs for my 15's, and some 14inch steel pug wheels if I come across some, Peugot parts in Canada are very scarce)
  13. Sorry guys it's the rear LSD I am talking. I can get one from a local WRX swap shop. I know the guys and they said they have one that needs a reseal and it's out of an 02 WRX which I believe are 3.9 gearing. Finding Legacy turbo stub axles may not be too difficult where I am. It's about a 2 hour drive to get this WRX LSD so I don't want to get it unless it might work. I think they wanted $50 for it.
  14. I've done a fair bit of reading and I know an early legacy turbo 3.9 LSD will fit into my 1987GL wagon d/r. I have easier access to a 3.9 LSD from a WRX. Does anyone know if this will fit or not, easy install ? Thanks:)
