Hey all, I just wanted to know if anyone out there has a working EA81 with working AC in it.. The reason is I was wondering if when you turn the AC on does your main engine fan as well as the AC condesor fan turn on at the same time?????? Thanks this will help trouble shoot my elctrical problem... Joe

My Brats wipers suck too... Wish there would be a fix...

Also try and stop by your local autzone or one of the part store that will check your Battery and Alternator. To me it sound like it is either the battery is weak or the alternator. My Brat did the same thing and it was the alternator.

I always thought that the alt. from a EA82 would not fit on a EA81 as a bolt up item... Or was it another ALt. from a different sub that you needed to change the pulley thinger... Joe Gee when I turn the AC on in my Brat the voltage drops down low... So whats a good size alt. to put on from what car???

Strange but today on one of the Brats that I have not driven for a while I decided to take a ride... Well pop her in first and go to pull out and I hear a clunk sound in the front driver side... I drive down the road and apply the brakes and I get vibration in front and shaking... What do you think maybe a caliper froze up on me???? My Wagon I pull out and drive a while and I smell Brake... And a funny noise in front driver side on this car... Again I didnt drive this for a month .. What the hell is wrong with the driver side brakes on my EA81 Cars???? So what do you guys think besides driving all my subies more LOL...

Does anyone have a diagram for the switch idea?????

Do you guys have a simple anti theft idea for our cars.. When I was in H.S. I recall my friends father put a switch in a hidden location under the dash that disabled the car from starting.. Im assuming it had somethin to do with a starter soleniod. Any ideas... Or any easy ideas somethin easy to pull under the hood when Im out without tools that could be put back in a second... Joe Maybe unplu some kind of relay and take it with me or unhook a wire that is not easy to find or see.. Joe

Hey All... Well Im looking for a personal web site someone had that showed instructions for a carb mod. for our original carbs to perform better.. I think it has somethin to do with the two jets opening the same time but dont hold me to that..... I think the guy did it on a wagon it showed but I cant recall.. Well wouldnt the Thermosensor be the sending unit to the gauge in the dash and not the thermo switch??? Also what would the Thermo Packing be for?????

Cant find a thermoswitch for a 86 Brat from 1stsubaruparts or subaruparts.com.. Any other names for this part??? Joe
