  1. sea foam is alwas the first option for a ruff running engine
  2. my 97 legacy lsi (top model) has a hood senser on its alarm so i think you should be able to just add the senser as they use the same alarm system
  3. if you read in the owners manual puting a 20amp fuse in the FWD holder (on top of the right wheel in 97 legacy) your in front wheel drive to protect your AWD system when you haev a flat. this woudl rule out probs with the AWD System in the rear
  4. no, i dont think you figured it out. lol
  5. even if you are using good wire woudn't using sheet metal vs. gold plated give you a bad ground?

  7. same thing happned to me in my 97 legacy Lsi and the shop charged i think 70 or 90 labor to tell me the floor mat was jaming the pedal. just a thought....
  8. i may be wrong but in my 97 legacy lsi i think it is possible to put 4x8's in the back. there are 2 mounting holes: the ones there the 6 1/2's are and in the middle there are 2 square holes. if this is rite and anyone trys it please report back if you find speakers that sound good becuase the stock are terrible and after new fronts i may be putting in new backs. Hope this helps and i wish Subaru would just put in speakers not paper and a magnet in the future.
  9. i have a 97 Legacy and it had the same problem. It was caused by worn out rear struts which i doubt in your case as it is a 2002 but i think this happened at maybe 80,000 for me so if your getting up there maybe something to check.
  10. hey, i have a 1997 Legacy Lsi that has a "sticky throttle". The engine light came on for one day then turned off again but the engine runs at anywhere from 1000rps to about 3000rps in nuetral. I went under the hood and when i played with the throttle manuly it got a little better. My uncle had a Saturn with the same prob and it was a temp sensor. Could it be the same with the Legacy, i also think it could be the throttle cable binding or weak return springs anyone else with this prob. I also know there was a recall on high idle in reverse around 2800rpms could this be connected? thanx for any help
