  1. Do you have any pictures?
  2. You are correct in saying the axle nut does not need to be removed. The caliper must be removed, then the caliper mount must also be removed before the rotor will come off. Depending on how rusty it is, you might have to use the treaded holes in the rotor to push it off the hub.
  3. Did you try jump starting it? Even though your radio and light are working, the battery might not be strong enough to turn over the engine. I am guessing you are still on the original battery, yes? It also could just be a loose battery cable. I probably is not the starter,I have not heard of any problem with Subaru starters going bad in only 4 years.
  4. You will only get the caliper and maybe a few extra parts depending on the application. The bracket you are talking about would be a dealer item only. Try to look for one at a salvage yard. That would be your best bet.
  5. Can you just make a copy of the template out of cardboard. Then you could fold it up and sent it in a large envelope.
  6. Out of the ones that I own, I would have to say I like my SVX the best.
  7. I love my 93 Turbo Wagon. I also drive a 93 L sedan sometimes, and the extra power is definetly better. 92 or better octane should be used. I get between 20 and 25 mpg depending on a trip or local or if I stay off off the boost, which is hard:)
  8. I just wanted to say that I also had a great time, even though I felt little out of place. What a great group of people.I will definetly put this event on my schedule for next year. The pictures I took can be seen here. http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/user.php?nubs|17996
  9. I will be heading up sometime this afternoon, staying till late evening, then coming back Saturday around noon after I get of work. Ben, I will bring your manual with.
  10. If you want something that works really well try Liquid Glass Connoisseur's Choice®Leather, Vinyl & Rubber Protectant with Mink Oil http://www.liquidglass.com/lgcc.htm I have been using this product on my cars for over ten years. I have tried others but nothing works better or lasts longer. It cost a little more, but is well worth it.
