  1. exactly what i needed to know... your a genious so i just need to find a midpipe off a 2wd turbo soob
  2. ok, i have an 86 gl-10 turbo wagon.. i need to replace the mid section of pipe. this has the catalytic convertor attached to it... from what i can tell, my exhaust bolts together in 3 pieces.. what i was wondering is, will the mid section off another turbo soob fit , if it was off an XT or RX for example.. were the ehxaust systems the same? I really need to figure this out since the car is due for inspection next month. if i keep rackin my head over this i might end up lookin like this banana
  3. hey Skip, i'm interested.. well hell i better not lie... i want one... if i could replace my hole exhaust with 2.5" no cats and a nice flowmaster i'd deffinitely be willin to pay for and pick up the pipes... bet that'd make my 289k soob really run... let us know when you can go into production
  4. well, i was sittin here at work watchin a guy here dump these bottles of stuff into his 91' oldsmobile... so i asked him what it was, he showed me the bottle, "prestone fuel injector cleaner and 0-60 octane boost" one bottle is supposed to treat 16 gallons.. he said he dumped 6 in his tank (16 gallons) and when it got to half he was puttin 3 more in... of course i laughed, told him he was gonna melt somethin.. so a couple days later i see him, ask him how is cars doin.. he says, the miss is gone, and runs better than it ever has. so i went down to wal-mart that night, and bought 3 bottles (not brave enough for 6, at $4 a bottle) so i filled up the ole soob with a tank of super. dumped all 3 bottles in.. exhaust smelled a littel funny for that tank of gas... but it ran a hole lot better (feel the difference).. and that annoying surge the turbo soobs have went away.. here it is 4 tanks later and whala, still no surge, haven't used any of the stuff since the first tank, and i'm just runnin regular gas now.. i still notice the difference in power, smoothness, ease of starting, etc also.. so just wanted to tell ya that this stuff really works... the guys oldsmobile has 335K original on it my turbo wagons only got 289k original sorry for the bana, had to do it
  5. well, my wife drives teh turbo wagon to work everyday.. well i had put a nice chrome tip on it just to make it look nice, no baffles nothing, just a plain ole tip. some jackass decided to rip it off:madder: they pulled on it so hard to get it off they broke the exhaust where it bolts to the midpipe :madder: i had to spend about 2 hours workin on it yesterday just so its drivable again... so now i really need that midpipe section with the cat on it.. told the wife she ain't drivin to work and lettin any of my cars sit in that parking lot ever again... this is the same parkinglot where someone took the side off our van when we still had it...
  6. be glad its not like my vcan, be drivin dowen the road and they'd lock and unlock several times all by themselves at random .. good thing that van got totaled on 4th of july:lol:
  7. well when i bought my acura i had the same problem... it ran fine when movin, but when ya stopped it overheated... and the radiator was cold.. the electric fans never came on, even after replacing the thermo sensor... i ended up having to change the thermostat, wire teh fans direct, and change a headgasket to fix it.. been good ever since..
