  1. awesome i can not wait to see the final product then. ive been rwd for about three years now and ill be making a lot more power over winter so im not to sure how much longer the ej tranny will hold up to the power and rear wheel drive
  2. so theses will work with the w58? if so ill be interested for sure
  3. 1993 turbo legacy so i finaly got around to wireing my FCD from free5ty1e the other day. so i took out the instructions and followed them step by step and once i was done i made sure all the wires were conected in the right places. i went to start the car to make sure it was in working order and both leds on the fcd lit up and my check engine light came on. code 45 - Pressure Sensor and Pressure Exchange Solenoid Valve and it wont go away. i compleatly unwired the fcd and its still there. and my car wont boost any more, as soon as it sees .5psi and up it just dies compleatly and will stall if you keep holding the gas. i replaced every thing on the strut tower with the boost controll stuff from my other legacy and no difference. i replaced all the vac line around there today just to make sure i never cracked a hose or some thing and its still doing it. so my question is, what can i do to fix this? did i wire it wrong and short some thing out? if so what would it be? a relay? fuse? any help would be awesome. thanks guys
  4. the nice thing is the glue that seals them stays there and when you heat them back up they are sealed again. i have heard of wrx guys opening/closing there like 3 or 4 times with the stock glue.
  5. as for how i did it: i took the grill off then the headlights out of the car (two 10mm nuts, one 10mm bolt) take the bulb out (i didint know if it would have died in ovan or not) there are 4 little clips on the headlights around the edge, pop those off preheat the ovan to 200*F once the ovan is ready put the light on a cookie tray and put then in for 15 mins. once the times up take them out (they will be hot! lol) and slowly pry the clear lens away from the rest of the light (i found it helps if you sort of cut the glue as they pull away or else you will get little glue strings every where) once they have cooled down mask of the the center area for paint i used gloss black since its all i had let it dry then try to push the lens back onto the head light a little bit so they stick together (they wont be sealed at this point) pop them back into the ovan for about 5-10 mins to heat them up enought that you can press the lens back onto the headlight and put the little clips back on there you go, it was pretty simple and turned out great incase any thing happens to your headlights dont come crying to me for a new pair! lol
  6. still the same the outer sides there never reflected to much light to start with i got new bulbs today too and its double as bright as before
  7. tell me what you guys think i have never seen it done on a 1st gen legacy (please show me if you have) always think it looks great on wrx's so i thought i should give it a try
  8. officer - do you know how fast you were going? you - 135mph? officer - uhhh no only 35
  9. nice work video looks good
  10. i know its not an impreza but my 92 legacy has 302,000km (187,662miles) and runs strong still
  11. nice last time was really fun. so i hear you work with mat ridgeway, im good friends with him.
  12. the new wheels look great man (by the way, this is logan, with the 92 legacy)
  13. hey guys hows it going? i asked this same question over at legacycentral, nasioc, and rslibertyclub and got no help so i have come to you! well my car does a few weird thing when i start my car with the fwd fuse in, the power light will come on, not flash then go out. and the car drives just fine. but then i start the car with out the fuse in (awd) the power light will come on, flash a few times, then go out. and also when i drive away with out that fuse in, it stays in 1st gear up untill around 4000rpm then it will shift. it only does that the 1st time you drive after starting it up though. so what could cause it to stay in 1st like that? and is the flashing power light bad and what can i do about it? i checked the tcu codes and came up with it it flashing 3 times then did two quick flashes then 3 then two quick and so on does that mean that its "32 Vehicle speed sensor 1" ? what can i do about that and would that be making it stay in 1st like that?
