  1. Soobme, if you made half doors, Or tube doors , that would definately be one of the first purchases I would make from TWB.
  2. Im up for some Reiter action, dont know if my soob will make the Lake Isabelle trail as it sit; but i will be up in Reiter for when you guys return. Definetely. Jay
  3. I got a 185/70/13 under the hood of my wagon, on a wagon wheel. Fits a little tight, but no problems.
  4. sounds like something id be interested in for my Ea81 non-ac car. 1 pound of rotating mass is worth 7 non-rotating pounds. seems like it would be a big improvement on the rev-happyness. Try that sucker out and let us know how it goes.
  5. Last time i checked, the justys had hitachi cast engines... fairly certain on that.. also, a caged roofless 4wd justy with 14" honda rims and M+S tires is a pretty good baja'er
  6. I tried mounting the SPFI intake to the hitachi on my 83 and the carb didnt have enough "meat" sticking up for the clamp to get a hold on to. What did you do to extend the carb throat enough for the MPFI intake to clamp down on? The SPFI intake i got is just like the MPFI pictured.
  7. archemitis - what did you use for an air filter on the end of that MPFI intake?
  8. Ok, Ive Decided to go with the SPFI intake, and run it back into the spare tire well with a k&n for now. But the big question is getting the snorkel out of the engine compartment and up onto the A-pillar like a jeep or hummer, to really keep it water free. I dont want to use pcv pipe but if thats the only choice I guess ill have to work with it. Any suggestions? Jay
  9. Due to the recent off-roading my wagon has experienced, I have noticed a slight problem. It seems that my stock EA-81 doesnt take to deep mudholes very well . I was wondering about making a Snorkel for the stock hitachi and also what you guys have done for your soobs. Did a search already and didnt find the answers i was looking for. Have any of you used a kit designed for a jeep (fender mount type safari snorkels) and made it fit. On my 83 GL, im concerned if I mounted anything to the snout of the filter housing, the battery would have to go somewhere. But where?. Also, if I were to remove the stock filter housing, would you guys suggest removing all the vacuum lines and just running a "connector" (been up too long) from the carb inlet to say a K&N? I Have a Filter to Inlet "connector" from an SPFI wagon and I think it could be adapted to work with the Hitachi. Any Input from the pros? Pictures would be good as well. Jay PS.... I will be looking to "utilitarializing" the interior in the near future. ( muddy carpet )
