LoL. We are mainly dooing it for ************'s and Giggle's:banana: . I've made him fully aware how long the standard Ea drive line will last but he will have to learn the hard way. He is a bit of a tight A@#%.

Yep still interested in doing it. He got a very clean Ea71. Almost no rust at all. I have two complete EA81 drive lines and he has a 180hp Ea81.

HI there. Got a mate here thats interested in converting his EA71 fwd to E81 4wd. Has anyone done this before and what is involved in changing the rear suspension and mounting the rear diff?

I was worried about the same thing so I adapted my new electric fan to the origional fan housing to prevent this from occuring.

timing light make me mad

The timing should be set at 8 degrees BTDC @ 800rpm -
I have read from other threads that red locktight has been used on cam sprocket bolts. this could be your problem.
