  6. as far as the mini-van (LOL) you guys going be making fun of us LOL
  7. man im glad i found this post i curently dont got my 86' hatch driveable but i would like to know "if" i cant get it done could we drive the wifes mini-van out , or is thier some trails that you have to take to get there??????
  8. if your asking about the blizzaks (bridgestne tire) yes they do come in a 13" just got some spokes from " bratsrus1 " that have some old ones mounted had a buddy that bought them for his 81 wagon slapped the spokes on backwards (grinding the hub to make it work ofcource) and drove all winter/summer long with no real problems up in renton (tires where dead after that) down side cost $$ and the tire is a super soft compound not but it looked like they could also be studded thou sold as studless tire but your talking ice/snow + speed not realy a good combo exspecialy down in your neck of the woods P.S. try "discount tire" http://dt.know-where.com/DiscountTire/cgi/selection?state-map=WA&country=US&map.x=100&map.y=142 they always got hella chep prices
  9. first off i would like to say im not hear to do any bashingor to pee in any ones weedies ut .............. yeah im sorry im with andyjo on that one now your car does look nice so i can see where you didnt want to go beating the crap out of it but over here in washington (mostly western) that trail looked like some thing a hot august week would bring not sure if we love are cars, but dont respect them / or if we just love to get them all soupy mudy and broke it but for the record my 86' hatch with 185/70/13 POS nankag have seen worst conditions in renton,wa but if i had the $$$$ i would of gone the same rought as you keep up the good work and dont fire the camera guy he does good work i loved how he panned over to the hill so we could see how far of a drop you had ryry
  10. yeah i have ran in to that @ most auto stores i have bin to (i used to work for al's auto supluy back in the day and had a customer try to blow up on me for his messup with the year of truck he was working with but lucky for me i keep a note book with my customers info for special orders) but the trick is going to http://www.partsamerica.com/ looking up your self what you need than do a print screen and walk in to the store and tell them you need this part and its alot cheaper doing it this way (they will price match this way) i have saved well over $300 in the past two years of doing it that way (just saved $40 off a hub for the wifes van last week)
  11. sweet thats what i thought but after looking at the gasket on shucks web page for a 86' 1.8 i got confused
  12. this 86' hatch i own has what napa told me was 84' gl wagon brakes (much smaller) now no where can i find what the CC's are on this block all i found is EA81 followed by the seiral. Well i already read the seiral post (kind of got a kick out of it) acording to the pics on http://www.partsamerica.com my valvecovers are 1.6CC if it where a 86' but... it also looks like the 1.8 84' GL wagon covers (two bolts in the middle) when i bought the car the cluch was shot (so i did the disk only) and i notice that the motor mount bolts had bin toched as well as the belhouseing bolts witch makes me think they just slid everything right under from the 84' to my 86' (grrr) i ask this not only to find out for myself but right after bratsrus1 offered me back glass, On the way to pick up my girl-friend one of the head gaskets went i love what ever motor i got (it has seen 5,000 - 6,000 RPMs many times pull out in trafic) it was supost to take me from spokane,wa to kent,wa back in 2002 (moved back to the mother land)and what ever happiened after that was not my problem only payed $200 for the car that was supost to of bin dead but now 4 years later the POS has realy grown on me (atleast the motor ) but like i was saying in the other post i realy want a wagon to build i have seen what you all have done to them poor cars and i love every bit of it but any ways i'll stop this novel here (sorry for the long post im just alittle sad to-day) ryry
  13. thank's guys for the replys i think that would have bein nice to do but im going to take bratsrus1 up on his offer but any one in the pasco,wa area looking for a 2WD 84' wagon i know where two are in kennewick for sale @ a good price one auto/one manual (fixer-upers) the guy also has a 4WD but the rocker panles are all rusted out on the drivers side and gone on the passanger side and one last one think it is a 82? its the body style before mine with the singal head lights think that one was also 2WD
  14. problem with that is the back gass blew about 1 1/2 years ago all the places i've looked only have wagons the one place that had it wantted $185 (too rich for my blood) pluss that car got smacked in the rear before i bought it and messed up the frame i would love to lift that car but i would have more fun in the wagon P.S. thier is a place in spokane,wa that if they ever get one in , it would only cost me $15 for that rear hatch "pull and save" i think is the name
  15. im looking to buy a 1984 GL wagon 2X4 i have a 1986 GL 2door hach back was wondering if it was easy to convert that wagon using the parts from my 86 (trany/rear-end ) i know i will need to find the drive line but thats not a problem i was looking under the back and it looks like the gas tank might be a problem has any one heard of such a conversion any help would be nice thanks inadvance ryry
