  1. That PNW website has alot of good info about trail issues. Thats were I usually watch and read about this kinda garb.
  2. This is from jeepgirl2 on the PNW website. "The results were published in the 1-10-2007 Port Townsend Leader news papper in news print only format the graph only goes to 60% and starts at 0% to 10% to 20% to 30% to 40% to 50% and finaly to 60% The results are in for the online poll from last weeks online poll question "What should be the next step in considering an off-highway-vehcile trail system near Quilcene" as the poll title was printed and headlined per the Port Twonsend Leader last week and again this week in the actual printed edition of the Port Townsend Leader. totals are as follows: 693 votes 60% (or more as graph only goes to the 60% in the paper)we need one so let's address noise, enviromental problems and get on with it . 5 votes or less than 5% for I'm opposed to it ,but I think it needs a lot more study. 11 votes or less than 5% for We nshould establish one ,but current sites are inappropiate. and 452 votes or just under 40% for It just insn't needed and the community has spoken. Stop all Planning. Again this is the final votes for this online poll with a total of 1161 tatal votes recieved and calculated . Thanks you all for taking your time and for being involved in recreation."
  3. Cool pics, thanks for sharing.
  4. And don't forget your gas cap key Did you get that winch on yet? What do you need? Lets see if anyone else chimes in and has a preffered date.
  5. Anyone wanna the Evans Creek trails in Feb? I should have my junk together by then. I am open to pretty much any weekend except the last one in Feb. I was going to do a poll on which weekend, but there isn't an option to do that. Or is there?
  6. VOTED, Thanks for posting the poll. Come on people, lets show them this recreation is important to us.
  7. Yep, I agree with ya on the reason our trails are in trouble is because of the individuals that don't care or relize that they are trashing the place. Most people I see or here of doing damage are young folks that are just being young and having fun (so to speak). I know of a few 4x4 clubs that actually take foresters, rangers and young people out on runs just to show them what it is really about and how not all 4xers are abusers. I here possitive things have came from these actions. Its also a really good idea that we watch what we post as far as pictures of our runs on the web. Its looks fun to us and we know what the pic is all about, but to other of less knowledge can receive the wrong info from that picture. I think the whole dang thing stinks. We all need to step up to the plate in some sort of degree and make sure the wrong message is not being seen in the general publics eyes.
  8. There are a few more pics here as people are adding them in. http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8666
  9. Hey Turbone, sorry we didn't hook up. My junk was pitching me crap all day and at the end of the day it was ready to be put away. I couldn't raise ya on the radio when I got back to the day use area so I made my way home. Anyway, we had a good time. Toyotas, a Jeep a BII and a 4x4 moon buggy ATV that made us all look bad. I ain't much into picture taken, so this is all I got.
  10. Just remember folks, this isn't to gernade one another. Just a little mud slingin fun and get some good folks hooked up to wheelin together.
  11. Gotcha Turbone. CB Channel 4. I would guess that we won't be on the trial tell after 9:AM. Shoot me a call on the CB when you get there.
  12. I am leaving town tell Late Sunday. The other folks that are going are on this thread http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8353 . We will be on CB channel four (4) if you need to find us. I will be in a Tan flatbed std cab Toyota. See ya,
  13. Understood Turbone. Drop me a note and let me know as time nears.
  14. Anyone wanna do Evans Creek Jan. 1? EDIT: OK, a few of the members on the NW Wheelers board are going. The meet time will be a 9:AM at the begining of the 311 trial. I strongly suggest at least one locker (welded) diff, lift, aggressive tires and recovery gear. Some of the trails are blocked with blow downs. Bring a saw if you want. It would be cool to see some Subarus up there.
  15. It really wasn't powder. More like wet cement. Dang, wish I knew you wanted to go. I wasn't really planning on it, but my neighbor teased me enough. I also was sick of just looking at my junk I decided to go at the last minute. How about the first of Jan? If I still have my rear driveline in the rig I was thinking of going up again.
  16. Come on Turbone and Qman don't be shy :-p
  17. Here is your chance to show up the Jeepers, Yota, Chevys and so on with pics of you trashin your Subaru on the trails. Its a cool site, they like slingin crap at eack other so don't take this wrong. Its just a fun thing. They would be excited to hook up with ya for some wheelin. Click on link below and the thread is there. http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8158
  18. All PNW events are family friendly unless stated otherwise. They usulally have kid things to do also. I know a whole mess of folks that are members. Here is their website http://www.pnw4wda.org/
  19. This piece of info is really important. "Our hobby is under the microscope. So be careful when posting pics (the extreme opposition likes to take things out of context). and make sure you are keeping it legal. the more illegal use there is, the more leverage there is for taking away legal places. Fighting with other people who agree is pretty dumb. Get out and do something productive." There are users here that are basiclly spies looking for this kinda crap to take to there leaders and use agianst us. I have seen it happen on other offroad forums. They even watch for events that will take place so they can see if they can shut it down. Ask the Faithwheelers about that. It isn't cool anyhow to be distroying what ain't yours and going in places that are private or even just plain common sense to stay out of. I know there are some extreme temptations to it just to get a rise, but we need to use our heads if we want to see this recreational activity stay alive.
  20. WELL??????????? How was it? I worked on my Toy all day and couldn't get it road ready to go.
  21. The PNW4WDA folks have been working on web pages that cover trails in WA., OR. & ID. They are still working on them. Check em out. http://www.pnw4wda.org/trails/washington/index.htm
